Sam Warner

When Mr. Sam Warner started Pioneer in 1957, he realized the best way to build a business was with great people and superior customer service. A brilliant student in high school, Mr. Warner turned down an Ivy League education to begin his business career and he realized early on that finding a niche market and filling a need were critical to his future success. He chose the education market and specialized in school supplies.
He was a tough taskmaster, just ask some of the people that worked for him. He respected his employees and he expected them to be loyal. And loyal they were and still are. The average tenure of the sales representatives at Pioneer is 20 years. |
An incredible accomplishment and more so when several of the employees have been father/son combinations. Caring for employees has been directly translated into caring for the customer. A legacy handed down for two generations is still working to bring California schools the best in products and service. |
